5th graders, we're going to read two different books about Henry Knox. After reading the first one, Henry and the Cannons, what would you say are the most important things for us to know and remember about Henry Knox?
I think the most important things we need to know about Henry Knox is that he was a unsung hero, and he was a pretty big part in the American Revolution. And that he is the reason we won back Boston all those years ago.
I would say he is a unsung hero meaning he was not that recognized for what he did he was a big part in the revolution and was so brave so determand he just kept going he helped the red coats flee boton he is the reason why the colonist left.
what we know about Henry Knox is he was a colonist and he lived in Boston and he was a hero because he shooed away the people in the red coats by bringing out his cannon.
the thing I would tell the person that asked who he is, I would say, he was a patrotic person and he didn't let any cannons go. He helped save Boston. He helped with a lot of things and wanted to have a free country. there was books that he read and sold. he loved wepons and all the fighting stuff. with out him there would be red coats. we all need to thank him. But he was forgotten, people didn't reconize.
I think the most important thing to is that he went on and on and didn't die and he owned his own book store. another important thing to know is he lost his finger playing with a gun.
I think it is important to know that he was in the revolutionary war and he got all the cannons for the rest of the colonists. Another thing is is that he was stubborn about all the cannons. He was also stubborn because he wouldn't stop on the journey to get the cannons because he perservered in te revolutionary war.
I think we should remember that Henry Knox was a patriot because he went on a long journey to get cannons to scare away British soldiers.During his journey he almost perished from the cold.He gathered 59 cannons Which was 120000 pounds and he brought those back to Boston from Fort Ticorderoga
What henry knox did was he travalied 400 miles by horse. That was insane for back then. He faught in a war. he brought all his cannons with him. And he wouldn't let any horse behind.
Henry Knox was a very brave person, who fought for his country, and he was a Patriot. He went on a long journey. In his diary he said he "almost perished". Though he still didn't give on the journey to get cannons to invade the British soldiers out of town. So, he fired the big guns and the soldiers left in fear.
