I learned that Bass Reeves was a US Deputy Marshal. He caught about 2,000 outlaws. He also dressed up like outlaws, farmers, etc. He was a good US Deputy Marshal.
bass reeves is a interesting guy to me. because he killed people but he also got a laws badge. i think this was also a great book because the illustrations are nice and not gonna lie i like his name alot(;. i think it was sad when bass reeves had to put his son in jail. its probably hard.
I learned that Bass Reeves captured more then 1000 people and he only killed 14 people. He would stick to his job because he couldn't be bribed. Also his son killed his wife so he put him in jail. He didn't like killing people.

The thing that suprised me was that he killed 14 outlaws and captured over 3,000 men. Also he could shoot a contented flies left hind leg off. Now thats over exagerated.

I learned that Bass Reeves was a slave when he was a kid and ran away because he got in a fight with his owner and went to live with the natives. when Bass Reeves was an adult he became a marshal he captured outlaws and went under cover and sometimes as a last resort shot or just killed outlaws.
