5th graders, now that we've gotten to know Amelia Earhart a little bit better, please choose a quotation from her webpage that is meaningful to you. What do her words mean? Why do they speak to you in particular?
Women must try to do things as men have tried. When they fail, their failure must be but a challenge to others." This is meaningful to me because it proves that women are just as good as men
"After midnight the moon set and I was alone with the stars. I have often said that the lure of flying is the lure of beauty, and I need no other flight to convince me that the reason flyers fly, whether they know it or not, is the esthetic appeal of flying."
I like this one because it describes what the sky looks like.
"Never interrupt someone doing something you said couldn't be done." I chose this one because if you see somebody doing something you said couldn't be done, it would never be done.
"The most effective way to do it, is to do it". I just love this quote because it tells you to not be scared or live in a small little bubble. It reminds me of when I was playing basketball.
